When we set up Glenton, the wee big holiday company, many people
on their own told us they dearly wanted to get away for a holiday but couldn’t find a tour operator who really understood the needs of the solo traveller. Some said they didn’t fancy being alone on a coach full of couples and families. Many felt a holiday just wasn’t the same without pals to share the fun. Others confided they found it hard to pluck up the confidence to introduce themselves to new people.
For all these reasons we came up with Good Companions – holidays and excursions designed especially for the single holidaymaker. On these tours our friendly host will invite you to a reception where you’ll be gently encouraged to meet and mingle with fellow travellers. For 2010 we’ve brought back many popular holidays throughout the UK and further afield – many with the wee twist of new excursions or different entertainment. We’ve also found some great new hotels for us all to enjoy as we embark on a variety of brand new tours.
