-Donegal Delight
|
|
|
| The charming town of Moville in County Donegal enjoys a scenic location on
the western shore of Lough Foyle, about thirty kilometres from Derry. Its most
famous feature is a large seaside park featuring bandstands, walking trails,
playgrounds and sweeping views east across the waters of the lough to
Northern Ireland. In the nineteenth century Moville was the point of departure
for many emigrants to Canada and the USA, with steamships from Glasgow
regularly dropping anchor to pick up passengers en route to the New World.
This romantic spot is the perfect base for this Glenton holiday that takes in the
fabled Giant’s Causeway, busy Derry and the glorious Inishowen Peninsula. |
