Belfast and the Titanic
|
| A unique opportunity to experience the birthplace of Titanic! |
| Belfast is a passionate, vibrant city that doesn’t rest on its laurels. Once declared ‘the modern Athens’, Belfast boasts grand architecture including the delightful Custom House, the Grand Opera House and Ulster Hall along with the more contemporary Belfast Waterfront Hall and Odyssey Arena. Belfast has undergone one of Europe’s most dramatic transformations. Stylish restaurants, stunning visitor attractions and shopping centres are delighting visitors to this former
hamlet and lively port. Across the River Lagan at Queen’s Island the RMS Titanic was launched in 1912 on its fateful voyage. The highlight of this historic tour is our boat trip around shadowy Belfast Harbour. Although she bore the port of Liverpool on her stern, Titanic was, in fact, constructed in bustling Belfast. April 1912 saw the world gaze in awe as this legendary liner embarked on her doomed maiden voyage. Now, a century later, enjoy a close up view of the celebrated Harland & Wolff Shipyard from the comfort of a vessel from the Lagan Boat
Company. |

Killkenny, Cork & the Ring of Kerry
|
| |
| It is little wonder the locals are so proud of vibrant Killarney and its incredibly
beautiful countryside. Famed for its many festivals, carnivals and lake regattas,
Killarney is the Emerald Isle’s premier tourist destination. The traditional and fun
way to see the sights is to hop on a jaunting car and learn all about the locale from
your ‘Jarvey’ (driver and guide) or perhaps enjoy a carefree cruise on the
stunning lakes. We also visit the seaport city of Cork and the breathtaking Ring
of Kerry – a mystical, unspoilt region that has attracted visitors for hundreds of
years. Its beauty is beyond question but it also offers an amazing insight into the
country’s ancient heritage with Iron Age Forts, old monasteries and a landscape
carved out of rock by the last Ice Age ten thousand years ago! |
